Antiseptic, warming and soothing. Clove Bud essential oil is a powerful antiseptic and fungicide with a rich, sweet and spicy aroma. Like most essential oils obtained from spices, it has a positive action on the digestive system when used in massage. It should be used in moderation with no more than 1% dilution. Although clove leaf oil, clove stem oil and clove buds are cheaper, they are skin irritants and should not be used in aromatherapy.
